Product & Experience
Design Leader

I believe that experience integrity is a functional requirement, not a luxury. I’ve spent my career at the center of three genuine inflections in how people live with technology – the birth of connected gaming at Xbox, the global streaming build-out at HBO, and the modernization of public safety at Axon – building the teams and systems that made those transitions possible. The through-line is knowing how to lead design at the moment when everything is being reinvented.

I love building things that people love, and the teams that make them possible.

My career has been defined by product evolution: taking complex, fragmented, or nascent systems and modernizing them into intuitive experiences that serve millions. Whether scaling HBO’s streaming infrastructure to 31 platforms in 14 months or rapidly prototyping bespoke solutions for first responders at Axon, I thrive where high-fidelity craft meets global scale.

I lead with a style that is principled and pragmatic in equal measure. My core competency is knowing exactly which corners can be cut – and which must be protected at all costs – without the final product ever losing its integrity. That judgment comes from having shipped, not just opined.

Beyond the product, I’m a builder of organizations. I specialize in team architecture: designing and growing multi-disciplinary teams that are as resilient as the products they create. I view design as a vocation of service, and I’m proud of a track record characterized by high-impact output and low-attrition cultures.

AI is changing what design teams build and how fast they build it. But no system replaces the judgment of a senior leader who has actually shipped – who knows which constraints are real, which tradeoffs matter, and what “good” actually feels like in the hands of a real person.

From zero to one, a few times.

I’ve been on the inside of three distinct moments when technology changed how people live: the birth of connected gaming, the global streaming build-out, and the modernization of public safety infrastructure. Each required building new design capabilities before the playbook existed. That’s where the work gets interesting – and where I’ve consistently delivered.
